Nallarbor and The Great Australian Bight

Hi everyone, we have travelled a lot of miles in the last week since Kalgoorlie  The weather has been very hot-mid forties- but our  VW has great air-conditioning so we haven't suffered too much.  It was really interesting seeing the Nullarbor Plain, and how it's landscape changed over the distance.

Lookout on the Great Australian Bight.  I liked this- unstable cliff warning!

This photo was taken very early in the morning, looking east over the Bight (we left Balladonia Roadhouse at about 6am) the light was incredible at that time of the morning.  Already about 35 degrees & climbing.

Looking west

Looking back from the lookout to our caravan ( middle of photo )

Roadhouse stop- caravan park behind the sign.  We didn't see see any of these animals alive, but plenty of roadkill.

Can you believe this?  Middle of nowhere, 46 degrees & this guy is CYCLING !
