More of Gawler, Glenelg & Hahndorf

Hi everyone & Happy Australia Day!  Last photos from here, we leave tomorrow. Some pics of Barosssa Reservoir; I remember visiting here when I was little girl & whispering to my sisters on the other end-it was quite a weird experience.

The reservoir wall, you go down these steps & one end & whisper to the other person, 140 metres away on the other end.

At the buffet in Hahndorf-all you can eat, including yummy desserts , for $21.  Our diets flew out the window in spectacular style! Lots of different cuisines-roasts, seafoods, Indian, Asian, big variety of veges & salads.

Apple orchards near Hahndorf, really pretty countryside, very hilly.  The day before, stage 3 of the bicycle race "Tour Down Under" went through this route. When we were there the next day there were hundreds of cyclists following the route.  Fortunately they were going in the opposite direction, otherwise would have been a nightmare.
