Eucla

Hi, some photos of Eucla, where we spent one night before crossing into SA yesterday morning, There were 3 time changes over 2 days, so it took us a little while to adjust. We are now at Ceduna for a couple of nights, then we will head down the Eyre Peninsula to Port Lincoln.  It is currently 45 degrees outside & the hot weather is set to continue for a few more days.

Eucla is set on a ridge- looking at to the Bight, 4 kms away

Eyre  highway, looking west

Massive sand dunes

Remains of the old telegraph repeating station, built in the 1840's. Rabbits  ate the vegetation holding back the sand dunes, hence about 2 thirds of it is buried.

Looking to the ridge (Ceduna) from the sand dunes.

they like their big animals here.  There is also a Big Wombat but we missed it.
