Julia Creek

Hi everyone, some views of Julia Creek, population 360.  We spent last night here & leave tomorrow.  The town was named after the niece of Donald McIntyre who took up property 70 km north of the town in 1864, only a few years after the ill fated Burke & Wills expedition passed through the area.

"I hear the train a-coming..."

And coming...

We got a big blast of the horn from the driver, & a big wave from him

The Three Amigos- Graeme, Graham, and Grahame! I had a laugh at this,in a tiny caravan park 3 guys with the same name, not one spelt the same!

Happy hour last night at our place- lots of laughs & good stories

In joke with my sister-Chris, this is for you!

Our van at the park

Julia creek pub, we had a great lunch there today, enjoyed talking to the locals
