Margaret River Gourmet Food and Wine Festival

Hi everyone, today we went to the inaugural M/ River Gourmet Food & Wine Festival  at Leeuwin Estate Winery.  We had a great day there, tasted some beautiful food & wine.  We arrived early, & by the time we left the place was packed, about 5,000 people.  Below is a photo of the entrance,  Grae & I got to go through the VIP entrance because I am so good looking ( actually because Grae walks with a stick & I asked them could we take the shortcut to avoid queuing! )

Blues Band playing in the tent to soothe people while they were queuing for tickets.  Great music

Various "Pop Up" restaurants from regional wineries, small plate of food cost $7, we shared about 5 different meals, including slow braised pork, roasted lamb shoulder with wattle seed roll, & cutlets of lamb with green bean & nectarine salad, dukkah & feta crumble..
