On the way to Ilfrcombe
Hard to tell from this photo but we encountered a large group of men all on those little red ex postie bikes on some sort of rally. they looked like they were really doing it tough.
Major Mitchell historic site
In the town of Barcaldine, the Tree of Knowledge, an historic tree with stunning carvings hanging from the structure built over it. Meetings were held here in 1891 during the Shearers strike.
Our car & van outside one of the many pubs in town. Only original pub left, looked it too!
Main drag of Barcaldine, the town looks quite thriving despite the drought because of the endless procession of caravaners.
