Cairns - FNQ

Hi everyone, we arrived in Cairns on Wednesday, about a 2 hr drive from Mission Beach through some very pretty countryside.  Lovely weather yesterday, fine & 29 degrees. Although we haven't been here long, we are loving this area.  Yesterday I went on the Skyrail, a cable car trip over the rainforest which is 7.5 kilo metres long & was a wonderful experience. I got off halfway through & did a rainforest tour with a guide. We drove up to a little village in the mountains called Kuranda, very scenic drive, then I took the cable car back to Cairns & Grae met me at the bottom. We then drove to Palm Cove & had a lovely lunch by the beach & on the way back watched some people bungy-jumping.  It was a great day!

This is the view from our caravan-it is like camping in the jungle. The creek is very clear & clean with lots of fish & turtles
