Rockhampton day trip

Hi everyone, we are now in Yeppoon, about 40 kms N/E of Rockampton, on the Capricorn coast, arriving yesterday after a five hour drive from Bundaberg, including 50 kms of roadworks. Today we drove back to Rocky via the coastal route stopping in a nice little coastal town called Emu Park. First photo, me towing the van! Rocky is an interesting town, some lovely buildings but mixed up with horrible seventies architecture.

This structure is called the "Singing Ship" a memorial to captain Cook- it has hollow pipes that create musical notes in the wind

We went to the Botanical Gardens in Rocky, which also has a small zoo, mainly Australian animals but some monkeys as well
