Ilfracombe 25klms East of Longreach

Hi, arrived here yesterday, a tiny little town 25 kms east to Longreach. There is a pub, general store & post office, that's about it! The park here is fantastic, very basic but run by wonderful people. Every night they host Happy Hour in this fantastic old shed with jokes, bush poems etc. We had such a good time there last night, I can't remember when I have laughed so much, and as usual met lovely people- everyone has a story to tell. Below is a picture about the bore here- in the next few days we will go for a swim in the mineral spa here.

They have the "Mile of Machinery" along the main street

Surrounding countryside, very flat

Above & below at the cementry, 2 old graves marked by old cots, and an unmarked grave below

Inside the pub, those are $5 note and different cattle brands belonging to farms in the area.

Doing it tough outside the pub

One of the frequent road trains, they can get up to 53 metres long & are quite scary
