Mystery craters

Hi everyone, yesterday we visited the "Mystery Craters", about 30 kms from Bundaberg. They were formed  25 million years ago but even international geologists are baffled as to how they were formed. They were only discovered in 1971 under a layer of silt & sand when the farmers plough hit a bump!  An interesting feature is the red ochre distribution as it may have once churned through a large cauldron & then cooled. Another feature is some resemble dinosaur footprints.  There are 35 craters in all, none of which are connected to each other.  Some have water in them, others don't.
Hi T-Rex, I'm Ginny

No, I don't want to play "Eat the Human!"

First sighting of a cane toad, swimming in one of the craters

Grae contemplating life's mysteries
