Nagambie

Hi, we are now in Nagambie. The photos below were taken near Yarrawonga/ Mulwala where a cyclone ripped through about a week before Easter . What is left is the remains of peoples holiday homes, now closed off entirely to everyone due to fears of asbestosis .

Looking back to the caravan park over a totally demolished brick fence.

House totally demolished  by the cyclone.

Now in Nagambie, a little lovely town, apparently the race horse capital of the the world.  Race horse Black Caviar was born here. Apparently she is now retired here but no one is talking- she is worth more as a stud horse than a racer. We drove past a Stud Farm today, came across this place with 2 horse sculptures outside the gates, very realistic.

Old bridge across the Goulburn River, built in 1940.

Lake Nagambie, photo taken from the main street, our caravan park is opposite on the far shore.

Photo of a church built in 1885 on the main street.  Look closely at the next photo of the same church!

A B double truck  left the highway in 2003 and ran right through the church, totally demolishing it! Ran right through the middle of it!

Photo taken from the site of the demolished church.

Mulwala

Grae's dad came up for the weekend with Grae's brother Rodney, off fishing with Grae's cousin Kevin.

No fish were injured in these photos!

Breakfast next morning at our van- Rod in charge of cooking the eggs.

Sunset over Lake Mulwala, Grae & Rod off fishing

Echuca

Hi some photos of Echuca, we stayed a week here, and had a great time. There are about six working paddle steamers on the Murray River, all of them have a different whistle, our caravan park was right on the river, so we heard the toots all day long.

Numurkah and Deniliquin

Hi, these pictures are a bit out of date, I've been a bit slack!  Below, catching up with Grae's relatives in Shepparton where we had a lovely lunch.

Some photos of Numurkah, a great little country town.

Looking across Broken Creek to our van in the middle.

We are now in Deniliquin (NSW) home of the world famous Ute Muster &  Blue Singlet challenges, both Guinness World record holders.

Edward River, we are camped on the banks here.  Really liking Deni, another great country town.

The bush ranger ( I think it was Captain Melville ) was reputed to have said just before he was hanged in Melbourne Gaol,  "I did not kill Old Jack"
